The MyOwnVersion without puncuation marks and numbers  is not necessarily intended for distribution. Therefore, on this page we will learn how to make your own brochure. With punctuation marks, numbers and in different sizes and designs, simply because we enjoy this.

When you have reached the Goal you can put

your own address into the brochure.

How to make a Brochure Printout with

ONE SHEET ONLY

Brochure printouts should always be divisible by four

When printing brochures, it is important to note that the total number of pages must always be divisible by four. When we print a brochure, the sheet is folded from A4 to A5, i.e. divided. Then you have two pages on the front to read and two pages on the back to read. That's a total of 4 pages on one sheet of paper with a printed front and back. Please see the pictures further down the page.

In Microsoft Word, you can easily check the page numbers by clicking on “Pages” in the bottom left. If you click this button again, the preview will change. Before you may need to click "enable editing" on the top. 

The documents on this site are prepared already. I only explain the steps to get to it:

You can adapt the side margins, so the text will fit on one sheet (front and back)

Copy an Epistle for Example First Thessalonians out of the Entire Holy Scriptures from Word and create a new document: Select the desired Text and copy it – right click – copy – then go to:

File (top left corner) – New Blank Document

Save it by Name

Paste the text into the document

Now again

Mark the entire Text to do this:

Change the Font Size

You can also change the Font Size, make it bigger or smaller

Change the Font Color

Change the font color to dark blue

Change the Margins

Page Setup – Top, Bottom, Left, Right for example 1 cm

Change the Header and Footer Margins

Header and Footer (from Top and from Bottom): 0 cm

Prepare the Document for Brochure Print

Type in the search bar on top:  Page Setup: Select: Pages – Book Fold

When you made mistakes, choose the arrow on top next to the disk – this is the undo button and there is also the redo button

Save the document again then select

Acrobat Reader

The document has to be opened in Acrobat Reader. If you have a simple printer, choose Print: Brochure + Front only. When the page is printed, reload the sheet as it was printed (but this may be different for each printer; but actually not) and select Brochure + back only in the print option again. 

About Printers

New Generation of Printers

According to the manufacturer, the new generation of printers with large tanks allows you to print up to 6,000 pages per tank. I bought one, it was extremely complicated to set up and in the end it didn't work, the printer was broken, so I returned it. This was also easily possible because it is a large retailer. I was lucky there. The printer was from Epson and cost around 165.00 Euro, it was not a duplex printer, so it couldn't print on the front and back. This new generation is called eco tank with refillable tanks. I want to try again with a printer in a month or two, if the Lord permits.

Select File - Print - Pages - On my printer it said: Manually Print on both sides (reload paper when prompted to print the second side). Then click O.K. in Word for the back page. Otherwise it will not continue.            O.K. means: all right.

Brochure printing with multiple sheets works well with Microsoft Word, with Acrobat it is complicated, I did not manage to succeed.

Word: When the front page stack is printed, the sheets have to be removed and sorted: you place the sheets of paper in front of you, a little to the left. And then you take the top page and put it to the right of the stack. Then take the next sheet from the left and place it on top on the right. And when the stack which was on the left is then on the right and sorted, you put the stack in the printer and print out the backs. To do this, you must click OK in Word, to print the back page stack. Then you need to sort it backwards and fold it to A5.

The Epistles as Great Evangelism Tools

As a rule, I try to keep printing costs low by using the short Epistles, which can usually be printed on 1-2 pages. This means you have a great tool for Evangelism and it is also very easy to read and handy. And I myself can read the letters along the way. On the train or bus or something, that's the other advantage. You can always read on the go.

• I replaced the word church with congregation in Galatians.
• As I said in the category "Word of God" and "read this beforehand", It may be better to use recycled paper, not glossy paper. Recycled paper has a certain clay color that is pleasant.

Acrobat Reader, PDF

As I mentioned before, I did not manage to print several sheets with Acrobat Reader as a brochure. The following PDFs may be used to share them on electronic devices. When you print this in normal A4 format, you would print 16 pages, not 3 as above in the form of a brochure. Printouts in blue of 16 pages would be quite expensive given the current printing costs.
